Yes — Tackle is free to download. The bite score, conditions, fish ID, catch log, and species playbooks are free forever. Some advanced features are available as in-app purchases.
Location permission lets us deliver spot-specific conditions and forecasts. Camera permission is needed for AI fish identification. All permissions are optional — the app still works without them.
Yes. Fish identification and catch logging work offline once you’ve downloaded the species pack. Live conditions and the bite score require an internet connection.
